Butterfly quilt

Hi Everyone!
Today I'm sharing the latest quilt I made.  This quilt was made for my aunt and uncles 50th anniversary.  I LOVE THIS QUILT!!!
It started out being a challenge since the log cabin blocks were made from pre-cut kits that I purchased years ago at a quilt show (sound familiar, no one but me ever does that, right?!?!?) Anyhow, once the blocks were all sewn together I wanted to add a border but couldn't find any floral one I liked. So, I ended up with a more neutral background and then added some appliqués on the corners.
I used some of my paper crafting supplies to die cut out some of the flowers and I used my rubber stamps as templates to paint the butterflies.
Painting the butterflies and adding the crystals to the quilt was the best part!!!

Here is the completed quilt all bound and quilted.  In the center log cabin portion I just did "straight" lines and on the border I did echo quilting around the flowers and butterflies and then some free style flowers on the border.

Cowboy quilt

Hi All...
Here is a quilt I made with a panel called Working the West by Debbie Beaves. Then I made some modified stars with a jelly roll of coordinating fabric.

Heres some pictures of the steps used making the stars

 Marking lines down the center of each square.

 Stacking the fabrics to start chain stitching the together.

 The chain of all the squares sewn together

 Trimmed square 

 Opened up and pressed squares

Then sew on another square to complete the star points

Back of each star before its all sewn together.

 The squares all set up to be sewn together.

Lining up the squares to do more chain stitching.

Laying out the stars around the center panel.

 Adding more borders.

Added the final border using up the jelly roll.

 The finished quilt on the bed with the pillowcases to match!!!

Zig Zag quilt

Hey Everyone...
I have been sewing a lot lately so I wanted to share a few of the projects I've been working on this year.

To start, I made this zig zag quilt for a co-workers child.  The quilt is made from a pattern called Frolic. You can order the pattern and download it here. The best part of this pattern is that there is no half square triangles.

Here is the quilt on a bed and I made a pillowcase with prairie points on the outer edge from the left over fabric.
